Suatu hari, Puan Ainon memuat naik gambar suaminya, Prof. Abdullah, sedang menolak mesin rumput. “Selesai mesin rumput, suami saya belikan nasi lemak lauk telur untuk sarapan kami. Beginilah cinta orang tua-tua.” [Lebih kurang begitulah katanya.] How sweet!

Lalu saya titipkan komen ini kepada Puan Ainon, “Kak! Orang tua tak boleh makan telur selalu, tau! Kolesterol! *bahak*

Kemudian saya terfikir, selama mana agaknya cinta pasangan suami isteri akan kekal ‘membumbubg? Lima tahun? Sepuluh tahun? Atau….

Apapun, buku Pilo Toq ini bukanlah kisah cinta Puan Ainon dan Prof. Abdullah. Ini bukunkisah cinta OP Zaharin, Azzam Supardi, dan Bahruddin Bekri dengan isteri mereka. Tetapi, ini kisah perbualan sweet-sweet suami isteri di dalam kereta atau di atas motosikal ketika lalu lintas sesak.

Dan, jika ditanya kepada anak dara trang tang tang zaman sekarang, lelaki jenis apakah yang menjadi pilihan mereka, nescaya mereka akan menjawab, “Lelaki yang boleh buat I ketawa! Kalau tak boleh buat I ketawa… tetapi boleh buat I tersenyum simpul pun jadilah!”

Buku Pilo Toq ini mungkin tidak akan buat anda ketawa… tetapi, jika anda tersenyum simpul ketika membacanya - itu pun lebih baik daripada cukup buat saya dan penulis-penulisnya! Tetapi, kalau anda nak ketawa terbahak-bahak ketika membacanya pun kami tak kisah.

Jadi, beli dan bacalah buku ini. Kerana cinta memang selalunya sweet - macam kamu!
